Must-Read M/M Romance Books Releasing November 2023

Blurred Lines by Andi Jaxon

Release Date: November 2nd

I’ve been in love with my best friend for years.
The problem?
He thinks I’m straight.
And now that I share a dorm with him, his insistent need to cuddle -and lack of clothes- are blurring the careful lines I’ve drawn.
I’m struggling to keep my defenses up.
I love him but I’m afraid.
Afraid I’m not enough to make him stay.
Afraid he’ll rip my heart out.
Afraid he won’t love me back.
But I see a side of him no one else does.
In the security of our room, he lets his mask fall.
Lets me hold him.
Something lurks in the dark recesses of his mind that keeps him from going all in.
He’s just as hesitant about this as I am, but I don’t understand why.

Can I convince him to let me love him the way he deserves…
or will he take my heart and run away with it?

Andi Jaxon has become an author that I really, really enjoy. I was so excited to see that she is dropping the second book in the Darby U Hockey Boys series this month.

I absolutely loved the first book, Hidden Scarsso I can’t wait to see where the series goes.

As evidenced from my recently dropped friends to lovers book list, this is one of my favorite tropes. I can’t wait to see how it plays out here!

Risk the Fall by Riley Hart

Release Date: November 8th

Riven

I’ve never been great at letting people in. Life is easier if I bury my feelings. People tend to let you down, which is only proven when my best friend, Rex, accidentally kills a man and lets me take the fall.

When I get out of prison, the last thing I want is to go back to Clayton, Oregon, but it’s where my grandma lives, the only person who’s always had my back. My plan is to stay out of trouble, steer clear of my old crew, save up, and the second we can, leave town for good.

Parrish

I want nothing to do with my family and their illegal activities. With Riven back, I worry things will get worse. He and Rex have always brought out the worst in each other, but then I discover Riven went to prison for something my brother did, and my family isn’t happy to have him home.

Riven wants nothing to do with me, and I don’t blame him. But like a moth to the flame, I’m drawn to him. It starts out as mutual lust, Riven sating the pleasure he craves, while I get to fulfill my first-crush fantasies. But with every moment, I see there’s more to Riv than anyone knows.

Not everyone would see him as a good man, but to me, he’s the boy who used to try to keep my family’s lifestyle from becoming mine.

And now he’s the man who risked his heart to fall in love with me…and the one who’d risk more to protect me.

Yuuuuup! Riley Hart has been crushing it lately. The premise here is so freaking exciting to me.

I love the idea of a bad boy with a rap sheet trying to keep his nose clean while falling for someone trying to do the same thing. But they both believe that the other could still be a bad influence.

I also love the ex-best friend twist on the best friend’s brother trope! It makes it almost doubly forbidden. I’m really looking forward to November 8th!

The Bone Collector by Onley James

Release Date: November 11th

Park Chen has spent most of his life as a killer—a deadly, deep cover operative known as the Bone Collector. Now, he’s been benched. Reassigned as an instructor at Project Watchtower, he’s tasked with training a school of psychopathic assassins while trying to keep a promise to his friends.

Gift Ayutthaya isn’t treated like a gift at all. If anything, his parents treat him as a burden, though a spoiled one. After an attempt on his life, they pass that burden onto someone else. Park. The man Gift’s been fantasizing about for years. A man who sees him as an adorable but incompetent distraction.

It’s no secret that Gift doesn’t belong at the Watch, but Park’s made a vow to keep him safe. Gift has made a vow, too. He’s going to use every weapon in his arsenal to find a way to seduce Park and make him love him, once and for all. Or die trying.

Loving Gift was never the issue—Park’s already there. But assignments at the Watch aren’t optional. To stay, Gift has to prove himself, something Park just can’t allow. Can Gift get Park to see that, when it comes to murder, Gift is aptly named? Or will he be relegated to the sidelines in both school and in love?

The Bone Collector looks amazing to me. This absolutely screams Onley James. She has kept us waiting for this one, but I think it will be well worth the wait.

This is just book one of The Watch, a brand new series that seems to be focused on Project Watchtower. I cannot wait to jump into this age-gap assassins romance.

Delay of Game by Ari Baran

Release Date: November 14th

Two polar opposite teammates battle their rivals—and their own issues—in this friends-to-lovers hockey romance.

Nate Singer is one of the good guys.

As team captain, Nate’s whole deal is sticking to the playbook, supporting his team and keeping his own issues buried. Especially since the team is finally winning, due in no small part to his chemistry with one particular hotshot teammate.

Zach Reed has a bad boy reputation.

And it’s cost him. Zach’s past exploits landed him on the worst team in the league. But that also gave him the best friend he’s ever had. For three years, his friendship with Nate has grown, making them an intimidating duo on the ice—and forming an intense bond off of it as well.

When the team hits a skid, Zach and Nate go out with one thing in mind: finding someone for a quick roll in the sheets to get back to their winning ways. Only they end up in each other’s arms—and each other’s heart.

And realize that could be exactly what they’ve always needed to win it all.

Hockey? Friends to lovers? Bi-awakening? Was this book written for me?

Delay of Game is the second book in the Penalty Box series by Ari Baran. I haven’t gotten around to reading the first book in the series, Game Misconduct. However, this new book in the series makes me want to go back and start with book one!

Dark Heir by C. S. Pacat

Release Date: November 14th

A new threat from the past is rising, and only a handful of heroes remain to fight. Pursued by dark forces, Will and his allies must leave the safety of the Hall and travel to the heart of the ancient world, making new and dangerous alliances, and revealing the shocking secrets of the past.

But Will is carrying a dark secret of his own—his true identity. Drawn to the beautiful and deadly James St. Clair, Will is pulled ever deeper into the web of the past, and finds himself tempted by the darkness within. As the ancient world threatens to return, can Will and his friends fight their fate? Or will the truths they learn tear their world apart?

C. S. Pacat is the author of the phenomenal Captive Prince Trilogy. When I heard that she was writing a new fantasy series, I was ecstatic.

While young adult romance is typically not my thing, I think I will make an exception for C. S. Pacat.

Ben by Cora Rose

Release Date: November 17th

It’s often said that everything is impossible until it’s done.
And while I’ve always known my infatuation with Cash and Ford was meant to remain an unfulfilled dream, I never really lost hope.
Hope that the two men, twice my age, would ever see me as more than just a kid. As more than just their best friend’s son.
But I’m not a kid anymore, and at twenty-one, they’re about to see that little meek and quiet Ben is old enough for many things. Old enough to finally attract their attention. And frankly, old enough to know better. To know that these stolen touches and lustful trysts behind closed doors could never really amount to more.
Because everything will crumble as soon as Cash, Ford, and my father find out what I’ve been up to. That I’ve been keeping secrets from them all.
I can’t possibly keep them both.
I can’t keep them at all.
I know our love is impossible.
But, god help me, when has that ever stopped me?

Ben is the eighth book in the Unexpected series from Cora Rose. There have been some hits and misses within the series, but I think Ben is going to be a big hit.

This latest book brings us an age-gap, M/M/M, dad’s best friend(s) romance. It looks to be full of angst and steam. Sign me up!

Ball Boy by Raquel Riley

Release Date: November 22nd

There’s no crying in baseball, unless you want the one thing you can’t have… your coach.

~Austin Healey

It all started with a kinky video about a baseball player and his coach. A coach who happened to look just like mine. Now, I can’t get Coach Wolfe off my mind. He’s all I can think about. Teaching me, touching me, praising me for being the good boy I am. Unfortunately, he won’t do any of those things, not as long as I’m his student.

But I’m eighteen and about to graduate.

~Marcus Wolfe

I would love to have a boy of my own again. A boy who is honest, loyal, obedient, and generous. A boy just like… Austin, who happens to be too young, and completely off-limits. But Austin doesn’t understand limits. He is determined to make a conquest of me. My defenses are wearing thin.

I’m only a man, and a man can only take so much.

Ball Boy has it all. Age-gap, student-teacher, and some Daddy/boy vibes for added fun. I think this looks to be a winner this month!

When the guys at work dare me and the new guy to play a game of gay chicken, I figure I’ll get my first kiss and bragging rights for winning. What I didn’t expect was for that game to awaken something in me. Something I’ve never felt before. Watching Noah lose control is everything. So is knowing he can’t stay away from me either ~ Zane

Zane and Noah’s story is the third standalone in the Crimson Club series. You can expect animosity to lovers, double bi-awakening, public fun, demi rep, mental health rep, found family, all the heat, tons of banter, reluctant feels, and two impulsive guys who realize that in some games, everyone’s a winner.

Best Served Cold is the third book in Willow Dixon’s new Crimson Club series. The latest book follows Zane and Noah.

With these two we get a double bi-awakening along with one of the characters being demi. I think this will be a great book to close out November.
