Briar Pendelton is new to Lassiter, and he’s determined to get into Alpha Tau, even if that means lying about already having passed his LSAT and doing stupid pledge stunts like dressing as a sorority girl. Besides, he’s always looked killer in a skirt.
Casey Hill has been pledge master of Alpha Tau for two years. Keeping a bunch of pledges in line is a bit like herding cats, but Casey’s got it down to a fine art.
When Briar sashays into their fraternity with eyeliner, attitude, and legs for miles, Casey is thrown for a loop—in the best possible way. Except what happens when Briar literally can’t make the grade?
Uh oh.
I have been absolutely loving the Alpha Tau series from Lisa Henry and Sarah Honey.
The second book in the series, The Amazing Alpha Tau Self-Improvement Project is still my favorite, but this book was a solid addition to the series.
The Alpha Tau series is just perfect for when you are feeling like some fluffy, low-angst reading.
Briar Phillips is no stranger to bad boys, but Derek Owens is a whole new breed of danger. He’s a grumpy loner with a dark past… and he’s still in the closet.
The hulking cowboy storms into Briar’s veterinary clinic after hours, refusing to take no for an answer. He needs Briar’s help and he needs it now. But with a body built for dominance and demons in his gaze, he’s a temptation—and a threat to Briar’s peaceful way of life.
Once a flamboyant city kid, Briar has sworn off hard men like Derek. The emotionally unavailable kind with troubled pasts and rough hands. But as they grow closer, it’s tempting to forget all that… and surrender to Derek’s arms and his demanding gaze. Giving love to a man who thinks he doesn’t deserve any at all.
But Derek’s past won’t stay there, and soon it threatens to haunt them both. Giving in to the cowboy might lead to more than just heartbreak for Briar–it might be downright dangerous.
The Down Home series from Parker St. John is one of my absolute favorite book series.
Parker St. John hasn’t missed yet with this series and I highly doubt he will start on book five.
I love an opposites attract romance. I am also excited as it looks like Briar and Derek will really bring the heat.
I can’t wait for this one!
Release Date: May 8th
My boss is a walking red flag. He’s bolshy and rude. Impossible to please. A big, broody man with dark eyes that carry an unmistakable message – I am not manageable.
Seriously, he’s the worst.
If it’s not bad enough that he’s a nightmare in the office, he’s all but ordering me to be his date to his son’s wedding. He says it’s called ‘winning a divorce.’
I try telling him that’s not a real thing but it falls on deaf ears.
Not only that, he appears to be in the throes of a major personal awakening and is determined that I’m the man to guide him through it. Normally, I’m all for going above and beyond in the name of being a star performer at work, but the services he requires are becoming increasingly indecent.
See what I mean? Red flags galore. So many red flags I can’t count them all.
I might as well be playing a game of red flag bingo at this point.
Just my luck, when it comes to Derek MacAvoy…I see a red flag and instantly want to date it.
Work: Strictly Professional is the second book in the new Bad Decisions series from Jesse H Reign.
It took me way too long to make this connection, so I am just going to put it out there for you guys! Derek is Miller’s dad!
Like the Miller MacAvoy who (I guess we will call it) wooed Ryan in Rent: Paid in Full. The very Miller that mentioned his daddy issues a lot. Well, we finally get to meet daddy.
I love an age gap and I love Jesse H Reign, so I fully plan on loving this book.
Aspen
Cooper Summers is a rising football star at the University of Texas. And he happens to be my new roommate. He’s amazing and surprisingly chill. It doesn’t take us long to form a strong friendship. But serendipity is a funny thing. I suddenly find myself wanting to explore my sexuality with Cooper. Let’s just say he’s hot. The only problem is that we’re both straight, and Cooper is especially so. Will he go along with my crazy idea? All I need to do is ask.
Cooper
Aspen Harper is a singer in a band, the most easy-going person I’ve ever met, a total hippie. But he also has his quirks, like walking around naked and carrying his pet rat on his head. After a night of heavy drinking, Aspen stumbles into my bed and comes up with the craziest idea. He wants to explore our sexuality together, but only for fun. Nothing serious. I’ve been struggling to get over my last girlfriend, so I agree with his ridiculous idea. The problem is that I like him more than I should.
The tag line for this book really got me. Outplayed is a double bi-awakening M/M college bromance.
I didn’t even need to read the blurb. This book checks all of my favorite boxes.
I also keep meaning to read some of Courtney W. Dixon’s stuff, so this is the book I am going to take the leap with.
In a world where people are born a Dom or a sub…
Cross is not a good man. His past is filled with dark magic, with death and blood sacrifices. He refuses to inflict his dominance on anybody—he’s not worthy of being a Dom.
He’s scared of what he’s capable of.
It’s been years since he scened, and he knows his body is slowly dying because of it, but this fate is better than hurting a sub.
Alex is a dynamic specialist. He subs for Doms who need to scene for their own health and don’t have other options. When he’s called to the Meliora coven for the most extreme case of Domdrop he’s ever encountered, he expects it just to be another client in a long line of clients.
That’s not what he finds.
As Cross struggles to trust himself enough to Dom, enough to live, Alex is forced to question how joyless his own life has become. There is something blooming within them, between them, and neither of them knows if it’s something they can keep alive, or something that will wither away once their contract is broken and Alex leaves Meliora for good.
I seriously can’t tell you how happy this makes me.
My love for Marina Vivancos is very well documented. I am quite tempted to call her my favorite author. So, when a new book of her’s drops, it’s a huge deal to me.
This blurb isn’t my favorite, but the Coven Ties series, and the world that it is set in, is my favorite so I really think I will like this book.
I am so glad that we finally get Cross’s book!
When Albie Bramwell’s father died, he was left with two thousand hectares of mountain to farm, and little help to run it. Abandoned by all but two of his workers, the whole town of Alpine Falls called him too young to run the farm alone.
Young, yes. At just nineteen, he was determined to prove them wrong. Even if it killed him.
In search of a new life, Percy Collins found himself in a small mountain town where he ran into a man not much older than himself and scored a job at Echo Creek. A property full of misfits, or so the townsfolk had called it. But what Percy found was a home.
What Albie found was something he never thought possible. A man to love, and a man to share his dreams.
But times were tough, the winter harsh, and money scarce. Albie and Percy would need to do more than prove themselves worthy. They’d need to not only prove themselves better than anyone else. They’d need to prove it twice.
The Men From Echo Creek is the latest drop from N.R. Walker. I haven’t quite loved N.R Walker’s latest stuff compared to her older classics, so I really hope that this book is a call back to her glory days of the Red Dirt Heart series.
But, to be honest, I will always try whatever N.R. Walker decides to throw my way as I know the brilliance she is capable of.
I recommend you do the same!
We’ve all heard the saying, “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.”
God help me, if only that were true.
Because as it turns out, my surprise gay husband is very much still my husband outside of the great state of Nevada. And let me tell you, as a straight guy, waking up married to a man I barely know with no memory of how it happened wasn’t even on my Bingo card.
What started as a fun weekend getaway to support my brothers in their relationships and show them how much I’ve grown, has somehow spiraled wildly out of my control.
Cooper Barone is rich, kind, and charming, but he’s holding all the cards now. Because he doesn’t want our marriage annulled. No, he says he wants us to make a deal. He wants me to spend time with him, to move in with him.
All I know is that I’m broke and I can’t afford a divorce without his compliance, without his help.
So there’s nothing left for me to do but agree and accept my fate.
I’m a straight dude with a husband.
This is my life now.
Suddenly You is the second book in the Our Exception series. I really enjoyed the first book Except You.
It sounds crazy, but I either love a Cora Rose book or I DNF it within the first 20%. We will have to see where Suddenly You lands.
I have to say, I love the ‘woke up married’ trope, so I am pretty excited about this book!
I read M/M romance books exclusively, and I help other readers find their next great M/M romance read.
