In this list I have compiled seven books with the absolute best throuples of M/M romance.
These aren’t threesome books. By that I mean these books aren’t just about three men having sex. These books are about three men who are in a committed relationship full of communication and love.
These books are not just good for being throuple books. They are some of the best books that the M/M romance genre has to offer.

Restaurant owner Tom Fearnes has loved his partner Cass for as long as he can remember, but their work often keeps them apart. When he meets a striking young man named Jake on the vibrant streets of Camden Town, their heady first encounter takes an unexpected turn.
Jake Thompson can hardly believe his luck when he wakes up in Tom’s bed. Tom is gorgeous, kind, and . . . taken. Tom’s explanation of his open relationship leaves Jake cold, but Tom is too tempting, and when hard times force Jake to accept Tom’s helping hand, he finds himself between two men who’ve lost their way.
Cass Pearson is a troubled soul. He loves Tom with all he has, but some days it feels like he hasn’t much to give. Jake seems like the perfect solution. Cass risks everything to push Jake and Tom together, but Jake resists, wary, until the darkness of Cass’s past comes to call. Then Jake finds himself the last man standing, and it’s time to dig deep and shine a light for the men he’s grown to love.
Misfits is a fantastic read from Garrett Leigh. In the book we meet Tom and Cass as an established couple. Their relationship is an open one, but the much younger Jake doesn’t love the idea of coming between Tom and Cass until he realizes he brings value to the relationship as well.
The resolution between the three men takes tons of communication and trust. They all learn a lot about themselves through the process of enveloping Jake into the relationship. The ending to this book is super memorable and sweet as well.
I feel like this would be a great introduction to M/M/M romance books.
Today’s experiment: Combine one socially awkward science teacher with two beefy, former students. Mix well.
I love watching chemicals bond, but I avoid the practice myself.
When I’m not teaching, I’m hanging out with my cat and putting together puzzles. I shy away from romantic entanglements because I know firsthand the collateral damage they cause.
Until I bump into Anton and Sebastian: best friends, business partners. and former wrestling superstars at South Rock High who could barely pass my class. Catching up turns into drinking, which turns into dancing, which turns into them practicing wrestling moves on me, sans clothing.
It’s clear that the men have a history—and some unresolved feelings between them—but being the piece of meat in their jock sandwich unleashes a wild, confident side in me I can’t ignore.
The other thing I can’t ignore: we’re falling for each other.
With three hearts on the line, I can’t risk destroying their close friendship and burgeoning business, not to mention reliving my own past pain. But is the chemical attraction between us too strong to ignore?
Advanced Chemistry by A.J. Truman is a super fun age-gap M/M/M romance book about a Chemistry teacher and two of his former students. Nothing happens between the three of them until the two younger men have been graduated for years.
This story is hilarious and heartfelt. The two younger men, Anton and Sebastian, have been best friends since high school, but have never gotten together. Much to Sebastian’s frustration. After one wild encounter between the three men, everything changes.
This book was such an awesome addition to the South Rock High series, and a true A.J. Truman read.
When he started looking for someone to help heal his broken heart, Wilson Curtis never dreamed he’d find two someones.
After Wilson Curtis was publicly outed, his restaurant business left in tatters, and dumped by his closeted boyfriend, he goes to Key West alone. There he meets Simon Stanford and Adam Preston. Fascinated by this couple, he is soon invited into their bed for some holiday fun.
But once isn’t enough, and the offer is extended for the remainder of his stay. As they get to know each other, in and out of the bedroom, sparks fly, and ten days is all it takes to change their lives.
When it comes time for Wil to leave, with tensions closing in and time running out, tempers flare and emotions fray. Beneath the physical attraction and the foolish misunderstandings is the realization these three men aren’t ready to say goodbye.
Wil soon learns that love isn’t always conventional, and the only thing better than giving your heart to one man, is giving it to two.
Three’s Company is the first M/M/M romance that I ever read, so there is a ton of nostalgia in it for me. Plus, it was written by N.R. Walker, so of course I’m going to love it.
What starts out as a vacation to try to forget turns into an unforgettable tryst between the recently dumped Wilson and a couple who works at the resort Wil is staying at, Simon and Adam.
What starts out as, incredibly hot, fun quickly turns real. This book wraps up in a super sweet and pretty believable way. Read this one for classic N.R. Walker with a poly twist.
I didn’t expect the summoning spell I found on Tik Tok to work.
I’m Saint. I’m your average, run-of-the-mill, overstressed college sophomore. My Daddy prospects are nil, and that’s assuming I even have time for a partner.
Ha. An English major with free time. That’s a good one.
When I use a spell I found in a viral Tik Tok video to help me with an assignment, the last thing I expect is for a six-foot-ten blue-skinned protector demon to show up in the campus library.
My demon’s name is Onyx, and he’s an Etruscan demon who’s last master locked him in a tomb for three thousand years. Onyx tells me that he’s here to do my bidding and I think that sounds great, to be honest. He quickly finishes my classwork and even makes a new game I’ve wanted appear out of nowhere.
Onyx’s assistance comes with a price. As it turns out, he was shut up in the cave because his last master refused to pay up.
I ask Onyx what his price is, and he tells me he demands… cuddles. And kisses. And lots and lots of… other things.
Looks like I conjured up more than I bargained for…
The Situationship series by Jesse H Reign has been such a hit for me. The writing is so dramatic, funny, and, to be completely honestly, cheesy. But in only in the best ways!
This book is also incredibly hot! Triple Trouble is the closest book on the list to being an erotic M/M/M romance. In it is one of the spiciest scenes I’ve ever read. Like, five plus on the spicy rating scale. You’ll need a cold shower after this one.
Along with the heat, there is some great character development over the course of the book, and I love the throuple overall. Try this one if you are looking for a super spicy M/M/M romance with some heart.
Our quick hellos are followed by drawn out goodbyes.
What started out as one fun night turned into a regular thing none of us ever planned for.
I can’t walk away from Kit and Prescott. Kit is the stern nurturer I need. He’s the caretaker, the solid presence. Prescott enables my wild ways. He’s someone I can have fun with. They couldn’t be more perfect for me.
But come graduation, I have to move across the country, and geography isn’t our only obstacle. Being in a relationship with two men isn’t good for my public image, my brother’s NFL career, or the media frenzy that surrounds my famously queer family.
We have a plan to meet up once a year, but with every reunion, every brief visit, we fall deeper.
There has to be a breaking point, something that will end it for us, or soon it will be impossible to say goodbye at all.
Can’t Say Goodbye is an M/M/M romance book based in the Fake Boyfriend universe from Eden Finley. This is book is centered around Brady, Talon and Miller’s son, and two best friends in the military.
The book spans many years and sees the men make many life transitions. The one things that never changes is how well they mesh and how much they miss each other. The title of this book is so good, because it really encompasses the struggle that these men go through.
The end of this book is incredibly romantic and soldier lands these guys as one of the best throuples of M/M romance.
When Hans Bauer, a college student in New Hampshire, accepts a job as a housekeeper for an older gay couple, he soon learns the reason they’ve hired someone with no experience is that professional agencies won’t work there. Thomas is a successful businessman whose biggest goal in life appears to be giving his husband anything he wants. Boris is a writer who immigrated to this country from Russia, and suffers from depression and PTSD because of the things he endured in his native country.
He also refuses to wear clothes—ever.
While Hans is working alone in the house with Naked Boris all day, things start getting a little weird. Boris gets flirtatious and Hans backs away, not wanting to come between him and his husband. So Boris calls Thomas at work and asks permission.
At that moment, The Rules are born—rules about touching and kissing and pet names that the three men use to keep jealousies at bay, as they explore the possibilities in a new type of relationship….
The Rules is such an interesting book. With this one Jamie Fessenden wrote something incredibly unique and powerful.
We have the young and naive Hans who just needs an easy side job. He is shocked to see how much they are willing to cleaning some rich couple’s home. he realizes some of his pay is probably to compensate for naked Boris. Boris is one of the most eccentric people in the world. He instantly fascinates Hans between his wild moods and his refusal to wear clothing. Thomas is Boris’s partner and an uptight, wealthy businessman.
I really loved the layers at play in this book. Things are light-hearted and humorous with naked Boris. Things are mysterious with Boris and Thomas’s dynamic. We learn about them along with Hans. Things are deeply sad and moving when we learn about Boris’s mental health struggles and past. The biggest focus through the entire book is love. The ending of this book is seriously incredible. Run to check this one out! It doesn’t get the love it deserves.
Leo is used to taking Omegas through their heats, what with being a sex worker and an Alpha. When he gets hired by a couple to help with the Omega’s rougher-than-normal heats, he doesn’t think much of it.
It’s just another job, after all.
Omega Josh and Alpha Damon are obviously in love. They have everything Leo has ever wanted—safety, acceptance, tenderness. There is no way there’s space for Leo in what they have.
There’s no way Leo is good enough for either of them.
Falling in love with clients is a terrible idea, let alone two…Leo just doesn’t know how to stop.
I saved the best for last!
If you have been around here for any length of time, you know that I am a Marina Vivancos stan. Her status as one of my absolute favorite authors was solidified for me with this book.
In Rough Heat we first meet Leo who is a sex worker with a traumatic past. Josh and Damon are an established couple who need Leo’s help. Once they hire Leo and he starts his work with them, it’s pure magic.
I have never rooted for a character harder than I did for Leo. He really
While a short read, Rough Heat has more depth than the past six books I’ve read combined. You will feel this one for a while after reading it.
I read M/M romance books exclusively, and I help other readers find their next great M/M romance read.
